South Lake advances in volleyball districts
South Lake High School's Erika Gaul (8) spikes East Ridge's Nicole Cabello (8) during the Class 6A-District 5 volleyball tournament at South Lake in Groveland Tuesday. South Lake beat East Ridge 25-23, 16-25, 25-14, 25-12 and and faced Orlando Dr. Phillips Wednesday in the district semifinals. Gaul had four service aces for the Eagles and Kim Smiith had 15 kills and 24 digs for East Ridge. The winner faces the winner of the Orlando Olympia and Apopka match for the title.
