-- FAITH Neighborhood Center has scheduled the 8th Annual Charity Golf Classic at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6 with a shotgun start at the Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club. Entry fee is $65 per player which includes a lunch before play, green and cart fee, range balls before play, sleeve of balls, a Prime Rib Dinner after play and on course special events such as "Closest to the Pin," "Longest Drive" and "Hole-in-One." -- The Green Valley Country Club Women's Golf Assoc. held their bi-annual Invitational Golf Tournament recently with nine area Women's Golf Ass'ns attending. A lunch was servied following the game of Two Best Ball net of the foursome, the winners are:
1st Place - Joice Mullins, Pat McCurdy, Nancy Jessiak, Fran Bollenbach
2nd Place - Bert Hejl, Helen Baillies, Mary Bartley, Judy Farrance
3rd Place - Sue O'Bryan, Theresa Schmidt, Gail Harris, Barb Reilly
4th Place - Betty DaDalt, Anita Sweet, Ginny Doran, Donna Micielli
-- Mean Street Pro Wrestling Club School has classes scheduled at noon every Sunday for those interested in learning to wrestle. For more information, call Robert O'Bryan or Joe Woods at 404-2235.
-- The City of Minneola Recreation Department is offering adults/seniors the opportunity to utilize the City Hall Gymnasium as a place to walk for fitness and exercise. The gym is open from 7:45 - 9 a.m. on Thurs. and Fri. No registration necessary and the cost is free. For more information, call the Minneola Recreation Department at 394-3598, ext. 229.
-- Adult Pickup Co-ed Volleyball Program: 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. every Thursday at the City of Minneola's gym. Cost is $2 per player.
