School calendar
-- Sawgrass Bay Elementary School Advisory Council meeting is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Media Center.
-- Lost Lake Elementary has scheduled a School Advisory Council meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday. All are welcomed to attend.
-- Groveland Elementary School has scheduled a Parent Teacher Organization meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Media Center. Childcare will be provided
-- Minneola Elementary Charter School has scheduled a Parent Teacher Organization and the School Advisory Council meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Media Center, 320 East Pearl St. Minneola. Child care will be provided, everyone is welcome.
-- Groveland Elementary has scheduled a Reading Fair from 5:30 - 7 p.m. on Thursday at the school. The Fair is to encourage both parents and children to enjoy reading.
-- Mascotte Elementary Charter School has scheduled the first "Autumn Fest" from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday in the school parking lot. All proceeds will benefit each grade level and their field trips for this year. Everyone is invited to attend and help support the school.
-- Sawgrass Bay Elementary School has begun a Recyling program, collecting newspapers, magazines, catalogs, copy paper, shredded paper and aluminum cans with the help of SP Recycling Corporation. In addition to the classroom recycling bins, there are large containers outside the school and everyone is invited to join the effort after 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or any time during the weekends. Aluminum cans may be left in a trash bag outside the recycling container. Please do not put aluminum cans inside the recycling container. To locate the recycling container, enter the school through the bus parking lot and turn right behind the school. The recycling container is green and red. Thanks to all for supporting Sawgrass Bay Elementary School.
-- South Lake High School Advisory Council Committee meets at 6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month in the school media center. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
-- Clermont Elementary School library will be open from 5 - 7 p.m. every Thursday night. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Open library will follow the same general schedule as the school.
-- Clermont Elementary School's Title I Parent Resource Room will also be open from 5 - 7 p.m. on Thursdays; the room is designed specifically for parents. The Family / School Liaison Lynn Cyr available to help you to help your child.
