Mascotte Elementary School students Bryce Adams, Victoria Beeken, Dylan Mickens, Yasmin Rubio and Dariyen Moss, members of the 4th and 5th grade News Crew from the Morning News Show entered the "Jim Harbin Student Media Festival," a competition for student media producers to showcase their work. After winning first place in several local and regional competitions, the group won an "Oscar" for their age group at the state level of competition.
